Track and Field Notebook: County championships should be hotly contested

Some of the best competition at Friday’s Ventura County Track and field Championships may not take place on center stage, but rather off to the side.

The annual county meet starts at 3 p.m. Friday at Moorpark High. The meet serves as the prelude to the various league championships, CIF-Southern Section competition and the state meet.
